Ifor Roberts

Acting Group Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Ifor Roberts is the Acting Group Chief Executive Officer of Pecan Energies. He comes from his role as Senior Vice President, Subsurface and Drilling & Wells, and has been a member of the Pecan Energies Executive Management Team since the company’s inception in 2018.

Asle Bjørnstad

SVP FPSO and Managing Director, Ghana FPSO Operations AS

Mr. Asle Bjørnstad joined Pecan Energies in January 2022 from Aker Floating Production/Ocean Operations, where he served as Managing Director. Asle has more than 35 years’ experience in the global offshore oil and gas industry, with a strong focus on Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units, Offshore Support Vessels (OSVs), and subsea construction.

Kjetil Skjeldestad

Mr. Kjetil Skjeldestad is VP of Drilling & Wells in Pecan Energies and responsible for the delivery of drilling and wells in the Pecan development project. He joined the Company from Shell in March 2019.

Vice President, Exploration

Ståle Monstad has more than 25 years of experience in exploration and geological management within the oil and gas industry.

He began his professional career in the exploration department of Norsk Hydro, where he spent seven years gaining extensive experience in concession application work on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).

Emmanuel Asmah

Head of Finance

Mr. Emmanuel Asmah is the Head of Finance of Pecan Energies, providing strategic financial leadership across budgeting, joint venture accounting, financial management, financial reporting, tax, and regulatory compliance.

He has more than 17 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and has supported the Deepwater Tano/Cape Three Points (DWT/CTP) licence since 2014, including its transition from Hess to Aker Energy and subsequently to Pecan Energies.

Kadijah Amoah

Chief Executive Officer, Pecan Energies Ghana Limited

Mrs. Kadijah Amoah is the Chief Executive Officer of Pecan Energies Ghana Limited. She is a lawyer and the first Ghanaian woman to lead an oil and gas exploration and production company.

She is a member of the Executive Management Team of Pecan Energies in Norway and holds directorships in AGM Petroleum Ghana and Aker Ghana Investment Company. She is also a council member of the Ghana Upstream Petroleum Chamber.

Prior to joining Pecan Energies, Mrs. Amoah worked as Head of Investments and Business Development at the Office of the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana. She was the Government of Ghana lead of the Millennium Challenge Corporation and Government of Ghana lead of the U.K Ghana Business Council.

Mrs. Amoah holds a B.A. (Hons) in Political Science and Sociology, LLB (Hons), and an M.Sc. in International Business from the University of Ghana. A Post Graduate Diploma in Strategy and Innovation and a Masters in Business Administration from the Saïd Business School, (Oriel College) University of Oxford.

Mrs. Amoah is an alumnus of the International Leader’s Programme of the U.K Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Raisa Program by the Spanish government. She is an Eisenhower Fellow and a member of Oriel Law Society, Oriel College.

Per-Kjetil Skare

Chief Commercial Officer

Mr. Per-Kjetil Skare is serving as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Pecan Energies. Skare has also served the role of Chief Executive Officer of AGM Petroleum. Prior to this, he served as an Investment Manager with Aker ASA focusing on portfolio companies within the E&P and Oil Services space. Skare has also worked in investment banking. He holds a Masters degree in finance from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).

Per Arne Nilsen

Pecan Project Manager and Senior Vice President Subsea

Mr. Per Arne Nilsen joined Pecan Energies in May 2020 from TOTAL S.A. France where he served as the Manager of Subsea Technologies. Prior to that he was Subsea Delivery Manager for Woodside in Perth, Australia. He has had many leadership and managerial roles in the international oil and gas industry.

Per has spent most of his career working for international operators (i.e., Equinor, bp, Suncor, Total, Woodside), and as Project Director Asia-Pacific for a major supplier in the oil and gas industry.

He is a recognised professional in deep water and subsea technologies.

Ifor Roberts

Acting Group Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Ifor Roberts is the Acting Group Chief Executive Officer of Pecan Energies. He comes from his role as Senior Vice President, Subsurface and Drilling & Wells, and has been a member of the Pecan Energies Executive Management Team since the company’s inception in 2018.

He has held several senior leadership roles within the ultra-deepwater DWT/CTP licence and was subsurface lead for the first well drilled by Pecan Energies in Ghana the successful Pecan 4A well which proved an additional 100 million barrels of recoverable resources for the Pecan field.

Ifor has more than 30 years’ experience in the offshore oil and gas industry. He has managed multidisciplinary teams and brings expertise spanning exploration, appraisal, field development, operations, and business development. His career includes lead roles with international oil companies including Amoco, BP, Elf (now Total), Aker BP, and Aker Energy.

He holds an MSc in Petroleum Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and is a British and Norwegian citizen.

Asle Bjørnstad

SVP FPSO and Managing Director, Ghana FPSO Operations AS

Mr. Asle Bjørnstad joined Pecan Energies in January 2022 from Aker Floating Production/Ocean Operations, where he served as Managing Director. Asle has more than 35 years’ experience in the global offshore oil and gas industry, with a strong focus on Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units, Offshore Support Vessels (OSVs), and subsea construction.

In addition to his role as SVP FPSO at Pecan Energies, Asle serves as Managing Director of Ghana FPSO Operations AS (GFO), the management company responsible for FPSO Dhirubhai-1, currently in warm lay-up while awaiting final investment decision for the Pecan Field Development Project in Ghana.

His international background, including postings and experience in West Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, has given him well-developed cultural awareness and strong people skills. He has technical competence with a commercial and contractual focus, gained from project and management positions in international companies and projects.

Asle has experience working as a Procurement/Sourcing Manager on large offshore projects, where he has had full responsibility for multi-billion USD budgets from initial requisition to completion and delivery. In the last 25 years, his focus has been on international business acquisitions and projects, where he has held senior roles, including project manager and operational leader in execution, and in preparing for successful start-up, operation, and local content development in host countries. Across the African continent, from South Africa to Ivory Coast, he has been involved in providing and operating numerous OSVs and in securing 10 production units (FPSOs and jack-ups) on long-term contracts, and has been involved in their subsequent project execution and operation.

Asle has initiated strategic alliances and joint venture companies and served as a director in several of these across West Africa.

Asle has spent most of his career working for contractors and service companies in the oil and gas industry, including Aker Engineering, Alcatel, Heerema, Fred. Olsen Production, Aker Floating Production, Ezra Singapore, Emas Chiyoda, Field Offshore Design Engineering (FODE/Lagos), and Ocean Operations/Ocean Yield.

Asle holds a BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Glasgow and an MBA from the University of Strathclyde.

 

Kjetil Skjeldestad

VP Drilling & Wells

Mr. Kjetil Skjeldestad is VP of Drilling & Wells in Pecan Energies and responsible for the delivery of drilling and wells in the Pecan development project. He joined the Company from Shell in March 2019. Kjetil started his career with Shell in 2010 and worked with ultra-deepwater well projects in West Africa and the Black Sea, as well as wells on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, with the Ormen Lange deepwater gas development project as the biggest project.

He holds an Msc in Chemical Engineering from NTNU and an executive MBA from NHH in Norway.

Ståle Monstad

Vice President, Exploration

Ståle Monstad has more than 25 years of experience in exploration and geological management within the oil and gas industry.

He began his professional career in the exploration department of Norsk Hydro, where he spent seven years gaining extensive experience in concession application work on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS). He later joined DNO and DNO International, where he served for 11 years in senior leadership roles, including Chief Geologist and Director, Subsurface.

Ståle subsequently spent five years at Aker BP as Chief Geologist, before joining the Executive Management Team of Aker Energy as Senior Vice President, Exploration.

Prior to re-joining Pecan Energies, he served for four years as Chief Executive Officer of Green Minerals, a deep-sea mining company.

Ståle holds an advanced Cand. Scient. degree in Geology from the University of Bergen.

He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) and the Geological Society of Norway. He has previously served on the Board of the Geological Society of Norway and as an external examiner for Master’s students at the University of Bergen.

Ståle is currently Vice President, Exploration at Pecan Energies and a member of the company’s Executive Management Team.

Emmanuel Asmah

Mr. Emmanuel Asmah is the Head of Finance of Pecan Energies, providing strategic financial leadership across budgeting, joint venture accounting, financial management, financial reporting, tax, and regulatory compliance.

He has more than 17 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and has supported the Deepwater Tano/Cape Three Points (DWT/CTP) licence since 2014, including its transition from Hess to Aker Energy and subsequently to Pecan Energies.

Prior to joining Pecan Energies, Emmanuel held senior finance roles with Aker Energy, Hess Ghana, and Eni Ghana. He began his professional career with Ernst & Young, where he built a strong foundation in audit and financial advisory services.

Emmanuel holds a Master’s degree in Oil and Gas Management from Robert Gordon University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Ghana. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA-UK) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana.
