The 30th edition of AOW, renowned for highlighting energy opportunities across the African continent, placed a strong emphasis on responsible exploration and production, gas monetization, and future fuels. It served as a platform for connecting industry leaders, shaping policy, and catalyzing investment.

Mrs. Amoah was a distinguished panelist at the conference in a session titled “Building the African Operators of the Future.” In her remarks, she underscored the critical role of financing in driving the growth of independent energy companies across Africa, particularly as the world navigates the global energy transition. She stressed the importance of homegrown African solutions, citing the pivotal roles of institutions like the Africa Energy Bank and the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC)—the owners of Pecan Energies—in supporting the sustainable growth of the continent’s upstream petroleum sector.

Adding to her impactful presence at the conference, Mrs. Amoah also moderated an exclusive roundtable session titled “Optimising Investments for the Future” during the ministerial symposium on the first day. The session brought together governments, regulators, and financiers to explore strategies for maximizing investments in Africa’s energy sector.

AOW 2024 provided a valuable opportunity for Pecan Energies to reaffirm its commitment to responsible energy development, forge key partnerships, and contribute to shaping the future of the continent’s energy sector.
